Account

Services and features are grouped into accounts.

Account Number

Unique number that identifies an account.

Adjustment

Changes made to an account balance to credit disputed billed items, such as recurring and non-recurring charges, or the total bill amount. Adjustment amounts are included in your Current Balance Due.

AT&T eBill

AT&T eBill allows users to view bills and associated charges, make payments online, and initiate disputes.

Attribute

Used in reports, the parameter of a measurement factor (metric) used to define performance of a business process.  For example: A manager might want to analyze the average monthly usage of a specific account in the company's West Coast branch in the last three quarters of the year.  In this case, the metric the manager wants to evaluate is \"average monthly usage\". The attributes that affect the metric are: Account, Branch (West Coast), and Time (last three quarters).

Circuit

The network component assigned to you by AT&T.

Content Area

The area on an AT&T eBill page that displays information for the current activity, as well as links to related pages.

CSV

Comma Separated Values file format used to store database information. Bill data can be downloaded in CSV format. See also XML.

Dispute

Process of challenging charges that appear in an invoice. Authorized AT&T eBill users can create disputes. Until a dispute is submitted, the user who created that dispute can modify or delete it.

Local Feature

Feature that uses Local Service.

Local Service

Service that uses Local Service.

Location ID

Unique code that identifies the exact location of a specific circuit.  See also Circuit.

Monthly Charge

See Recurring Charge.

One-Time Charge

Charge incurred for a one-time service, such as subscriber activation or addition of a feature/function.

Outbound Service

One-way outgoing service designed for customers who make calls from one point in the U.S. to a direct geographical point.

PDF

Portable Document Format. Remittance forms are downloaded from AT&T eBill as PDF files.

Product

Type of service, such as, Outbound, Toll-free, and Access.

Recurring Charge

Charge incurred periodically (e.g., on a monthly basis), such as a monthly feature charge.

Regulatory Fees

Fees consisting of Carrier Line Charges and Universal Connectivity Charges.

Remittance Form

Printed form that contains invoice data and current charge information, including the amount due. The remittance form can be printed for your records, but should not be used to make a payment.

Report

Online document that enables AT&T eBill users to analyze usage and costs.

Role Management

Each AT&T eBill user has one or more roles. A role defines a user's access rights in AT&T eBill. Access definitions are assigned to groups of AT&T eBill functions. This ID also includes the various attributes that have been assigned, including the security profile that determines the activities you can view and perform. AT&T eBill supports the following basic user profiles:  * User Admin - View, Pay, Dispute - can view and analyze data, pay bills, create and submit disputes. This user type can also create, edit and remove users within their company. Custom hierarchies can also be created.  * View, Pay, Dispute - can view and analyze data, pay bills, create and submit disputes, and edit their own user profile.  * View Only - have view-only privileges in AT&T eBill. View-Only cannot make payments or create and submit disputes and cannot update any data except their own user profile. * View, Pay - have view-only privileges and the ability to make payments, and edit their own user profile. * View, Dispute - have view-only privileges and the ability to create and submit disputes, and edit their own user profiles. * Billing Manager - Special Reports - Billing Manager role is an optional/additional role for access to Plan/Promotions & Commitment Tracking Reports.

Service

Types of calling features.

Service ID

Unique code that identifies a specific service. See also Service.

Service Order Number

Number assigned when a service order is created.

Service Type

Type of access for a service, such as Switched and Dedicated.

Subaccount

Level for displaying information assigned below the Account level and/or Group level.

Toll-Free

Direct-dialed call that is charged to the termination location.

Usage Charge

Charge applied to an account as a result of usage.
