The following table describes the available custom label levels for different account types.

You can create custom labels by typing the labels or selecting predefined label options. You can also export custom labels to a TXT file, modify the file, and then import it with the updated information.

Important: Due to system maintenance, do not update custom labels between Sunday 12:00 AM and Monday 06:00 AM. Labels submitted during this timeframe will not be saved.

 

Creating Custom Labels for Accounts, Groups, and Subaccounts

Creating Custom Labels for Accounts, Groups, and Subaccounts

Company administrators, according to the accounts to which they are provisioned, can create meaningful custom labels for accounts, groups, and subaccounts.

You can add labels where no labels exist, and you can add or change existing labels. When you add a value to all the accounts, groups, or subaccounts on the list, the new value appears at the end of each label, without trailing spaces.

Note: Some label buttons, such as Bill Group or MCN, might not be relevant for all services. No value is added to the label when you click a label that is not relevant.

To create custom labels for accounts, groups, or subaccounts:

1.      Do one of the following:

·       On the main menu bar, from the Functions menu, select the required option:

o      By Accounts.

o      By Groups

o      By Subaccounts

·       If you are already on the Custom Labels page, select Accounts, Groups, or Subaccounts from the Select Search Criteria dropdown list.

The Custom Labels page is displayed.

Note: New items on the list that do not include predefined labels show a value of three dashes. By default, such items appear at the top of the list.

2.      If you want to clear all the existing labels on the list:

a.    Click Clear. A confirmation message is displayed.

b.    Click OK.

3.      If you want to include predefined text in all the labels on the list, click the relevant predefined text button:

·       City

·       State

·       Account Name

·       MCN

·       Bill Group

·       Space

·       Comma

·       Dash

4.      If you want to manually enter or modify a specific label, in the appropriate field, modify or type the label information.

Notes:

·       Find the account, group, or subaccount quickly by typing the first few digits into the Find field and clicking Find.

·       You can enter up to 40 alphanumeric characters, except for UB accounts, for which you can enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters.

5.      If you want to export custom labels to a TXT file:

a.    Click Export. A confirmation message is displayed, with a message informing you that your request has been submitted successfully and that an email message will be sent to you when the file is available.

b.    Click OK.

c.     You will need to check the Retrieve Download page and retrieve the processed file within 14 calendar days.

6.      If you want to import labels from a CSV or TXT file:

a.    Click Import. The Import Labels page is displayed on top of the Custom Labels page.

b.    If you want to automatically close the Import Labels page after you import the file, mark the Close this window when import complete checkbox.

Note: If you do not mark this checkbox, a message is displayed when the import is complete, after which you will need to close the page manually.

c.     Click Browse.

d.    Browse to the file location on your hard drive and select the CSV or TXT file. The file name is inserted in the Browse field on the Import Labels page.

e.    Click Import. An email is sent to you after the import is complete.

7.      If you want to cancel all changes you made to the labels before you save them:

a.    Click Cancel. A confirmation message is displayed.

b.    Click OK.

8.      If you want to print the custom labels, click Print.

9.      Click Save. A confirmation message is displayed.

10.  Click OK. A message is displayed.

·       If you want to view the updated labels immediately:

i.      Click OK. AT&T eBill closes and the AT&T BusinessDirect portal is displayed.

ii.     Log in to AT&T eBill again.

·       If you want to continue working and view the updated labels the next time you log in, click Cancel. The Custom Labels page is redisplayed.

Creating Custom Labels for Aggregator IDs

Company administrators can create meaningful custom labels for specific aggregator IDs. You can add labels for aggregator IDs that have no labels, and add additional text to existing labels.

To create custom labels for an aggregator ID:

1.      Do one of the following:

·       On the main menu bar, from the Functions menu, select By Aggregator IDs. The Subaccount Selection filter page is displayed on top of the Custom Labels page.

·       If you are already on the Custom Labels page, select the Aggregator IDs from the Select Search Criteria dropdown list.

If you previously selected at least one account, subaccount, or service ID, the Custom Labels page is displayed. Skip steps 2, 3, and 4, and follow the instructions in the subsequent steps.

If you did not previously select at least one account, subaccount, or service ID, the Subaccount Selection filter page is displayed on top of the Custom Labels page.

2.      On the list, mark the subaccount.

Note: Find a subaccount quickly by typing the first few digits in to the Find field and clicking Find.

3.      If you want to sort the list according to data in a specific column, click the column name. The data in the list is sorted accordingly, and an arrow next to the column name displays the sort order (ascending or descending). If you want to reverse the sort order, click the column name again.

4.      Click Submit. The Custom Labels page is displayed.

Note: New aggregator IDs that do not include predefined labels show a value of three dashes. By default, such aggregator IDs appear at the top of the account list.

5.      If you want to clear all the existing labels on the aggregator IDs list:

a.    Click Clear. A confirmation message is displayed.

b.    Click OK.

6.      If you want to manually enter or change labels, on the aggregator ID list, in the appropriate Aggregator ID Label field, type or modify the label.

Notes:

·       Find the aggregator ID quickly by typing the first few digits into the Find field and clicking Find.

·       You can enter up to 40 alphanumeric characters.

7.      If you want to export custom labels to a TXT file:

a.    Click Export. A confirmation message is displayed, with a message informing you that your request has been submitted successfully and that an email message will be sent to you when the file is available.

b.    Click OK.

c.     You will need to check the Retrieve Download page and retrieve the processed file within 14 calendar days.

Creating Custom Labels for Service IDs, Department IDs, and Subdepartment IDs

Company administrators can create meaningful custom labels for specific service IDs, department IDs, and subdepartment IDs. You can add labels for service IDs that have no labels, and add additional text to existing labels.

To create custom labels for a service ID, department ID, or subdepartment ID:

1.      Do one of the following:

·       On the main menu bar, from the Functions menu, select the required option:

o      By Service IDs

o      By Department IDs

o      By Subdepartment IDs

The Subaccount Selection filter page is displayed on top of the Custom Labels page.

·       If you are already on the Custom Labels page, select the Service IDs, Department IDs, or Subdepartment IDs from the Select Search Criteria dropdown list.

If you previously selected at least one account, subaccount, or aggregator ID, the Custom Labels page is displayed. Skip steps 2, 3, and 4, and follow the instructions in the subsequent steps.

If you did not previously select at least one account, subaccount, or aggregator ID, the Subaccount Selection filter page is displayed on top of the Custom Labels page.

2.      On the list, mark the subaccount.

Note: Find a subaccount quickly by typing the first few digits in to the Find field and clicking Find.

3.      If you want to sort the list according to data in a specific column, click the column name. The data in the list is sorted accordingly, and an arrow next to the column name displays the sort order (ascending or descending). If you want to reverse the sort order, click the column name again.

4.      Click Submit. The Custom Labels page is displayed.

Note: You can enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters.

c.     On the list, in the appropriate Subdepartment ID Label field, type or modify the label.

Note: You can enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters.

7.      If you want to export custom labels to a TXT file:

a.    Click Export. A confirmation message is displayed, with a message informing you that your request has been submitted successfully and that an email message will be sent to you when the file is available.

b.    Click OK.

c.     You will need to check the Retrieve Download page and retrieve the processed file within 14 calendar days.
