Creating or Updating Financial Information

Accounts selected for payment must have a financial profile. Financial profiles are created and updated from the Pay Bill - Select Account or Automatic Payment - Select Account pages.

Creating or Updating Financial Information for Credit Card Payments – Teleconference accounts

Creating or Updating Financial Information for Bank Account – Electronic Funds Transfer Payments – Non-Teleconference Accounts

To create or update financial information for Bank Account – Electronic Funds Transfer payments – non-teleconference accounts:

1.      If you have more than one account and you want to copy the financial profile from another account:

a.    In the Financial Information section, click Copy. The Copy Profile dropdown list is displayed, with a list of available financial profiles.

b.    From the dropdown list, select the account from which to copy the profile. The relevant fields on the page are automatically populated.

2.      Mark the Bank Account – Electronic Fund Transfer option.

3.      From the Bank Account Type dropdown list, select the account type.

4.      In the Bank Routing Number field, type the bank routing number.

5.      In the Bank Account Number field, type the bank account number.

Note: You can enter up to 17 alphanumeric characters.

6.      For automatic payments, if you want to deactivate the automatic payment option for the account, mark the Deactivate automatic payment for this account checkbox.

7.      In the Account Holder Details section:

a.    Select the appropriate Account option button.

b.    In the Name on Account field, type the account holder's name as it appears on the account.

8.      Click Continue. The Select Account page is redisplayed.

Creating or Updating Financial Information for Credit/Debit Card Payments – Non-Teleconference Accounts

If the account is not allowed to make credit or debit card payments, the Credit/Debit Card option is not available.

Although gift cards can be used for one-time payments, the gift card information cannot be saved to the financial profile for future use.

To create or update financial information for credit card payments – non-teleconference accounts:

1.      If you have more than one account and you want to copy the financial profile from another account:

a.    In the Financial Information section, click Copy. The Copy Profile dropdown list is displayed, with a list of available financial profiles.

b.    From the dropdown list, select the account from which to copy the profile. The relevant fields on the page are automatically populated.

2.      Mark the Credit/Debit Card option.

3.      In the Card number field, type the credit or debit card number.

4.      From the Expires On dropdown lists, select the month and year the card expires.

5.      In the Security Code field, type the security code for the card.

Note: You can view an explanation of where to obtain the security code by hovering your mouse over the question mark icon next to the field. The 3-digit Security Code for Visa, Mastercard, and Discover is located on the back of the card at the end of the security strip. The 4-digit Security Code for American Express is located on the front of the card, above and to the right of the account number.

6.      If you do not want your transaction processed via the STAR, Pulse, or NYCE networks, clear the Debit Card Transaction checkbox.

7.      For automatic payments, if you want to deactivate the automatic payment option for the account, mark the Deactivate automatic payment for this account checkbox.

8.      In the Card Owner Details section:

a.    In the Name on Account field, type the card holder’s name as it appears on the card.

b.    In the Zip Code field, type the zip code.

9.      Click Continue. The Select Account page is redisplayed.

To create or update financial information for Bank Account – Electronic Funds Transfer payments – teleconference accounts:

1.      If you have more than one account and you want to copy the financial profile from another account:

a.    In the Financial Information section, click Copy. The Copy Profile dropdown list is displayed, with a list of available financial profiles.

b.    From the dropdown list, select the account from which to copy the profile. The relevant fields on the page are automatically populated.

2.      Mark the Bank Account – Electronic Fund Transfer option.

3.      From the Bank Account Type dropdown list, select the account type.

4.      In the Bank Routing Number field, type the bank routing number.

5.      In the Bank Account Number field, type the bank account number.

Note: You can enter up to 17 alphanumeric characters.

6.      For automatic payments, if you want to deactivate the automatic payment option for the account, mark the Deactivate automatic payment for this account checkbox.

7.      In the Account Holder Details section, select the appropriate Account option button.

·       If you mark the Personal option, in the First Name and Last Name fields, type the account holder’s first name and last name as it appears on the account.

·       If you mark the Company option, in the Name on Account field, type the account holder's company name as it appears on the account.

8.      Click Continue. The Select Account page is redisplayed.

Creating or Updating Financial Information for Credit Card Payments – Teleconference accounts

Note: If the account is not allowed to make credit card payments, the Credit Card option is not available.

To create or update financial information for credit card payments – teleconference accounts:

1.      If you have more than one account and you want to copy the financial profile from another account:

a.    In the Financial Information section, click Copy. The Copy Profile dropdown list is displayed, with a list of available financial profiles.

b.    From the dropdown list, select the account from which to copy the profile. The relevant fields on the page are automatically populated.

2.      Mark the Credit Card option.

3.      From the Credit Card Type dropdown list, select the type of credit card.

4.      In the Credit Card number field, type the credit card number.

5.      From the Credit Card Expiration Date dropdown lists, select the month and year the card expires.

6.      For automatic payments, if you want to deactivate the automatic payment option for the account, mark the Deactivate automatic payment for this account checkbox.

7.      In the Credit Card Owner Details section, in the First Name and Last Name fields, type the first and last names as they appear on the card.

8.      In the Credit Card Owner Address section, in the Address field, type the street name and number.

9.      In the Room/Suite field, type the room/suite number, if relevant.

10.  In the City field, type the city.

11.  From the State dropdown list, select the state.

12.  In the Zip Code field, type the zip code.

13.  Click Continue. The Select Account page is redisplayed.
